What we collect, and why
Kantrob does not sell anything through this website. There are no accounts, no checkout and no payment details. The only personal information we hold is what you type into one of our forms, plus the technical records any website keeps in order to run.
Information you give us
Three forms on this site collect personal information. Every one of them is optional — you can read the entire site without submitting anything.
- Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, subject and message.
- Register your interest. Your company or farm name, contact name, email address, phone number, how many trailers you run, your hitch type, and what you would want from a hitch lock.
- Partner enquiry. Your business name, contact name, email address, phone number, business type, country, estimated annual volume and message.
We use this solely to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation that follows. We do not use it to build a profile, we do not sell it, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, and form submissions are stored in this website’s own database, which can include the IP address and time of submission. This is used to keep the site working and to defend against spam and abuse.
Optional updates
Two of the forms have a separate tick box asking whether you would like to hear from us again. That is a distinct choice from sending the enquiry itself, it is never ticked for you, and you can stop it at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
Our lawful basis
Under the GDPR we have to tell you which lawful basis we rely on for each purpose.
- Answering your enquiry — consent. Every form has a tick box you must select before it will send, confirming you are happy for us to store what you have submitted so we can respond. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
- Optional updates — consent. Given separately, through its own tick box, and withdrawable separately.
- Server logs, spam prevention and site security — legitimate interests. Our interest is in keeping the website available and free of abuse. We have weighed that against your privacy and consider it proportionate, because the data is limited, technical and not used to identify you personally.
You are not required by law or by contract to give us any of this information. If you choose not to, we simply will not be able to reply to you.
Who else sees it
We keep the circle as small as it can be. Your information is handled by:
- Our hosting provider, Hostinger, which stores the website and its database on our behalf.
- Our email provider, Microsoft, which carries the notification of your enquiry to us, and our reply to you.
Both act on our instructions only. Beyond that we do not share your information with anyone, other than where we are obliged to by law. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Our data is held within the European Economic Area. Where a provider transfers personal data outside the EEA, it does so only under the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. If we add a new provider that changes this, we will update this page.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as the conversation is live, and for no more than 24 months after our last contact with you, after which they are deleted. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will.
Where we are required to keep something longer to meet a legal obligation, we keep only what that obligation requires and only for as long as it requires.
Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then overwritten.
Cookies
This site sets only what it needs to function, and any non-essential cookie is set solely on the basis of the choice you make in the consent banner. You can change that choice at any time.
The full list of cookies, what each one does and how long it lasts, is set out separately in our cookie policy.
Your rights
The GDPR gives you the following rights over your personal information. They are free to use, and we will respond within one month.
- Access. Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Rectification. Have anything inaccurate corrected, or anything incomplete filled in.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete what we hold.
- Restriction. Ask us to pause what we do with it while something is being sorted out.
- Portability. Receive what you gave us in a common machine-readable format, or have it sent to someone else.
- Objection. Object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent. At any time, for anything we do on the basis of your consent.
To use any of them, email info@kantroblocks.com. We may need to check who you are before we act, so that we do not hand your information to somebody else.
Automated decisions
We do not make any decision about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.
If you are not happy
Tell us first if you can, at info@kantroblocks.com — most things are quickest to fix directly. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority at any time, without coming to us first.

Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where the change is significant, we will say what changed rather than quietly replacing the text.
